Accessibility is what we make it
Adventure for the whole family
Camp Hayden creates safe, accessible adventures for families with special needs — from zip lines to paddleboards to blowing your first bubble.
A bit about us
Our story
Camp Hayden was inspired by 3-year-old Hayden Chapa. Hayden was a child with special needs from Idaho Falls, Idaho with microlissencephaly. Knowing that his time on earth would be limited, Hayden’s parents, Kami & Jason Chapa, were determined to give him every wonder-filled childhood experience possible. And so began the story of Camp Hayden.
The loss of our son led us down a path of healing, helping, giving and living.
Kami & Jason Chapa, founders
We understand first-hand that adventure comes in all shapes and sizes. From ziplining to climbing through fire trucks, horses to paddleboarding, or simply blowing your first bubble — we celebrate every triumph with wild enthusiasm. At Camp Hayden it’s all about what we can do.

Testimonials
What families are saying
I have nothing but love for what Camp Hayden has done for our family. The biggest joy I have from this camp is that I have seen both boys do things I never thought they would be able to.
Deanise Franck, parent
Being part of Camp Hayden has changed my life. Kami and Jason were my support, our cheerleaders — they gave me the courage to take my son out of our comfort zone.
Amy Smith, board member & parent
This experience sits in my top five greatest adventures in my 59 years.
